Paul Doherty is a London/ Ireland based painter whose main concern is painting and history. He enjoys storytelling.
His works are often an absurdist take on collective history that question the way in which we relate to and envision our past.
The paintings invite us into a universe populated by disruptive forms such as anthropomorphic objects and buildings and apparitions that blur the line between myth and reality.
Paul has also trained and works as an architect. He has completed a MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin’s and has shown work in London and in Ireland.
